- I've seen similar behavior on one of my users machines. It seems to be
- releated to the amount of dos memory free before you start windows (the
- more the beter) and also what programs you ran before/while loading
- trumpet. Like if you loaded pfe it worked, if you loaded filemanager
- it didn't, sounds like a funky maloc() call in trumpet.

- I just voted with mine. I was going to buy a copy for evaluation, but this
- is not the kind of thing I want to get into.
-
- Anyone know of another way to use WINSOCK from Visual Basic? In my case I
- have never done ANY socket or TCP/IP or network programming. After
- reading the Winsock specs, Distinct Visual Edition looked appealing.
-
- IMHO a Winsock VBX should be a fairly thin layer on top of the Winsock
- API with the ability to easily get at all the Winsock details. Of course
- it should not have *ANY* reliance on .DLL's or code other than the
- Winsock API itself. Has anyone else come up with Winsock VBX's??
